Ashley Perry was born and raised in Washington Heights, New York City. Like many girls her age, she loved putting outfits together and dressing up. Growing up, Ashley was bit of an engineer and study objects to try to figure out how they were made. Basically: She saw it. She wanted it. She created it!
Ashley’s first love was Fashion Design; she would spend her time sketching and hand-sewing creations for herself. This love led Ashley to the High School of Fashion Industries and to later finish at the word-renowned Fashion Institute of Technology. While design was a constant - and undeniable - passion for Ashley, she had no idea that it would eventually lead to the world of jewelry!
“I wanted a necklace and bracelet set to match my outfit, but I could not find anything I liked. I went to the Fashion District here in NYC, and purchased all the tools and material I would need. Then, I went back home and created the matching set myself!”
What started out as a hobby, led to Ashley taking custom jewelry orders via Facebook. In 2013, she decided to take this hobby to the next step, and created ElizaYvette Jewelry . The company’s name was created by, combining the first name of her Grandmother, and middle name of her Mother.

“EYJ started right on my son's mini homework table and is completely self funded. There is a lot of love put into each piece that is hand-made; these same hands wants to uplift and support the community. The community is YOU. The Jewelry will speak for itself, so while I'm running my business, I want to also turn up the volume on my community. I have to create a space where ALL people are seen, where the jewelry complements the amazing person that’s already there.”
